SilentSoftech.exe

The malware on my laptop is SilentSoftech.exe. It can’t be deleted because it justs reinstalls itself. I tried uninstalling it through cmd prompt but it still doesn’t get rid of it. I already changed it’s attributes, but it still reinstalls itself.

I found out that SilentSoftech.exe performs the following behaviors:

- create other processes on disk 

- Registers a dynamic link library file

- adds a registry key (RUN) to auto start Programs on system start up

- executes a Process 

There are actually several ways of getting rid of this malware. You can first install anti-spyware/malware programs to your computer like PrevxCSI (where i got this information from and you can download their software here), download a noob killer (click here to download) or download security task manager (click here). Well, i haven’t tried any of those 3 things. I’ll try getting rid of the malware later when i get home.

Virus

I was supposed to edit my photos last night, but apparently, my laptop has a lot of viruses! My gawd. An alert keeps popping if you won’t insert a cd in it. I forgot what the program was called… It actually also filled up the memory so i couldn’t even transfer all my pictures on my laptop. Everytime i run my anti-virus it keeps on turning off by itself. I believe I really need to reformat my laptop… But the things is, I left all my drivers in Los Banos, so i guess i won’t be using my laptop for a week. I can actually use it for programs which does not eat that much memory, like solitaire, notepad… All the boring stuff. I think i can’t even open my iTunes… Well, i haven’t tried. 

Why do a lot of people create viruses for Windows? It’s not their fault if they want to earn a lot of money and charge for everything (e.g. licenses). Why not create viruses for Mac and Linux for a change? Why don’t the Windows people create viruses for those platforms? I think it’s only fair that they’ll make viruses for other platforms. Hahahaha..

I actually am also sick right now.. I have a cold and a sore throat..

I’m done with all the files that I have to review, now, i don’t have anything to do i guess… But surf the net! yeay! haha.. My boss said that he still doesn’t have anything for me to do yet, so I’ll just wait for him to give me something to do..

I’ve been playing with my cam the whole weekend! It was so much fun! haha.. I took a macro shot of a flower, it was really nice (in my own amateur opinion) but i forgot to reset the ISO which was 1600.. The picture still looked nice but i think it could have been better if i adjusted the ISO to 200 or 100. I can’t post my pictures because I still haven’t transferred the pix on my laptop. haha.. I’ve been to busy tinkering with my cam that I actually didn’t bother installing the software that came with it.

My parents have already decided… I’m not going to bora!!! huhu.. It’s so sad.. But I’m ok with it… I don’t want to abuse them, they already bought me my camera. huhu.. But I really want to take lots of pictures of Boracay… The sun, sand, and sea. Haaay.. I’m already thinking of the party that I’ll be missing..

Finally!!

My mom finally bought me my camera. Yeay!!! I’m so happy. I actually didn’t expect that she would buy me the camera yesterday, but she did! *Clap-clap-clap*

I would have wanted to buy a Nikon d80 but I was having a dilemma because a Canon EOS 40d is almost the same price as the former, but it had some added features (Sensor Cleaning, Live View, and etc.) and it has a larger LCD. When I got to the store, they told me that they didn’t have a Nikon d80 kit, so I guess I was really meant to have the EOS 40d.

I can’t concentrate here at work because I really want to tinker with my camera! Shoot everything! Hahaha.. Play with it, explore and do some photo shoots! But no, I can’t… I still have to wait until 6pm and about an hour to go back home and play with my new toy.

I’m actually still not good at using the camera, but I know that I will master using it soon. Hahaha.. I’m already dreaming of buying new lenses and other accessories but I should capture some good photographs first with what I have now. Hopefully, I’ll be posting some of my works with my camera soon.

White Pants Boracay

I bought a pair of white pants yesterday and I’m having them returned today. Hahahaha.. I don’t know what went through my head when I bought them. I liked them in the fitting room, but when I got home and tried it on with my other clothes I felt that I looked so tacky with white pants on. I asked my mom if it looks ok, she said it did, maybe I just wasn’t comfortable seeing myself with white pants on. Somehow, I felt like a sales man at bench. Hahaha..

 I want to go to boracay! My gawd. We’ve been looking for cheap tickets but we couldn’t find any. I really want to go. My closest friends will be going and I think if I’ll miss it, I’ll really miss on a lot of things. Come to think of it, the accommodation’s free because my friend’s mom will be paying for everything, except for the tickets going there. Argh! It’s just that I’ve been spending a lot when I got here in Manila, a part of me is already bothered by my conscience because I’ve asked for money a lot of times already. Most of my spending were on food or clothes or transportation. Well, the food part’s ok, but for the clothes… I think it’s already too much… I’m hoping that my parents will allow me to go to bora, and by allow, meaning give me money for the plane ticket and for my allowance.

Nothing to Write about

Obviously, from the title, I don’t have anything to rant/whine/talk/blabber about. I’m just here. Sitting.

I just finished eating ice cream which was a treat from one of my pseudo-officemates because it’s his birthday today! (Happy Birthday!!) Cookies and Cream. Yum!

I’m excited that tomorrow’s Thursday and the day after that is Friday! yeay! I’ve been looking forward for that day since Monday. Well, for the obvious reasons… That the day after that’s a Saturday. 

Waah. This is a really crappy post… Really, really crappy… something not worth reading.

I hope my mom would already buy me the camera that I’ve been wanting since February. huhu… 

Well, my hair’s still the same. I’ve been thinking of having it re-colored, but I’m somehow getting used to it. Sometimes I like it. Sometimes I don’t. I think it actually depends on the color of my shirt. Argh. I have hair that needs to be matched with my clothes.

Hair Dilemma. CRAZY

Aargh! I think I hate my hair. I’m not really sure if I like it or not. I really don’t know what went trough my head when I said yes when the stylist pointed some color on the palette. I thought my hair wouldn’t be this light!!!  I really feel like my hair doesn’t suit me.  I want a second opinion, because apparently, my Mom’s not helping at all. Huhu

I’m going back to work tomorrow. I wonder what my pseudo-officemates reaction will be. Waah!! I don’t like my hair. It’s too… Colored… I wanted the color to be subtle… =(

I need an ego boost. Andrea! Call me already…

Aaargh! I still can’t get over my new hair. When I first looked at it, I actually thought that I liked it. But now, after a few hours of having this hair, I suddenly don’t like it. WHY?!?!?!?! WHY??!?!? WHY?!?!?!

ape-real 7-teen oh-ate

I didn’t get lost today! yeay! *clap-clap-clap* I actually arrived 15 minutes before the time. Even the senior software engineer congratulated me for not getting lost this time. Well, the trip, was still as uncomfortable as ever. On the MRT there was this guy who kept breathing near me who apparently has chronic halitosis or maybe he just forgot to brush his teeth or… Maybe both? I don’t know but obviously he doesn’t know the saying "Eat to live and brush to let others live" haha..

 Lunch break!! One of the two events of the day that i look forward to. We only have an hour for our break and i already ordered food from the person who delivers food to the office, but my friends (who are very persisent) wanted me to have lunch with them because they were also in makati that time. I couldn’t say no, and i couldn’t cancel my already ordered food. So i had two meals for lunch. They told me that they were at UCC at Paseo, when i got there at about 12:30 pm (because i just walked and i waited for my other friend from her office) i know that i wouldn’t have enough time to order and eat, so i looked at their menu, the probinsyano in me was shocked (well, i was actually already expecting it, because everyone who ate there looked "rich", and i actually stuck out like a sore thumb because i was just wearing t-shirt and jeans and everyone else was in their corporate attire) to see that all their food were in 3 digits and it usually started with the number two.  So i just had my food to-go and i looked like someone’s PA buying food for my boss. hahaha.. but the food tasted really good, which i guess makes up for the ka-ching.

6 pm! Dismissal time. haha.. I went straight to the bus station. =)

After 4 days of being away from LB, i’m finally back!! haha.. i was both tired and excited when i was on the bus going to LB. I thought that i wouldn’t miss LB that much, but i really really missed LB and come to think of it, its only been 4 days. hahaha.. 

Nested Whatevers

Whenever I’m sad and alone, I dance. For some reason, dancing always makes me feel better. I can’t really say that I’m that good of a dancer, a lot of people are better than me in terms of dancing. But I can say that dancing is one of my elements, especially when I’m at the bar. I’m everyone’s dance partner, well,  almost… You know what I mean.

I’m actually sad right now… But I’ll just dance it off! Hahaha.. Come and dance with me. *winking-with-mouth-open-teeth-and-gums-showing*

Tomorrow I’ll be going back to LB, and as all Ebizens know it, Thursday night is gimmick night! I really missed IC’s bar, and of course, the people I’m with whenever I go out. I miss the cheap drinks, the homey atmosphere, and just everything about elbi! Come to think of it, I was away from LB for only 4 days! Hahaha.. Living here in Manila makes you appreciate LB more.

I always wondered why people always keep coming back to LB. Now, I know why. =)

Work! Work! Work! Haha.. My job, as you can see (actually read) from my past entries, doesn’t really make me jump and down,  but awhile ago, they gave me my salary! Well, they gave me a day’s pay only and I thought that was already good for 2 days, and I became sad because of this. After about an hour, the head of the HR department called all the interns into her office, and we actually had a contract signing! Haha.. and it was written there that the amount they paid was just for one day. I was actually surprised because it was 21 pesos and fifty cents more than what I expected. Haha.. maybe by the end of my internship I can buy something for myself… an iPod maybe. =) well, if I can save any of the money that I’ll be earning. Which I think is as possible as Simon Cowell singing in public.

Lost! haha

Oh *BLEEP*!!! I was 30 minutes late today for work. I was supposed to get off at Magallanes Station, but for some reason, I thought that I should get off at Buendia, so to make my story short, I got lost!! I looked for a jeep that would get me to Pasong Tamo, luckily, I found one, but the effing line was super long! To make it worse, the sun was blazing hot and I was wearing long sleeves. :c

When I got here, after 1 train ride and 3 jeepney rides, I was sweating all over. Eew right? But I really can’t do anything about it.

OMG! I just remembered, I was once again amazed by the train and the mass of people it can accommodate. I was actually standing on one foot (yes, literally!) because somehow, if I would put my other foot down, I would step on someone else’s foot and there was no space at all for us to move. I actually pitied the girl near me, because she was squished by a lot of men around her… But when I got to see her more clearly, she actually had a mustache, haha.. I don’t know if she was a girl with a mustache, or a “girl” with a hanging note. I think it’s the latter. Hahaha

It’s a good thing that keyboards aren’t like pillows… If they were, I already had saliva all over them.
