I haven’t been able to blog for the longest time. I don’t know, I guess life these days feels slow.. Or I think I just forgot about blogging altogether. Blogging somehow got drained out of my system for some reason.. If this is good or bad, I don’t know..
Anyways, I can’t blog the almost 1 year that I ignored this website.. So I think I’ll just go through the highlights of my 2011. My mid-year evaluation blog I guess.
Well, at the start of the year, I wished/prayed for 3 things:
1. Travel more
2. Have my own business
3. Own my own condo and car
Well, no. 1 is going along quite nicely. I’ve been able to travel a lot this year, I guess I have traveled more than I’ve ever traveled in a year’s time before. I’ve been to 7 destinations and 5 different countries for 2011.
January - Cebu
February - Japan, Singapore, Malaysia
March - Davao (should this be counted? I’m from davao, so is coming home considered as ‘travel’?)
May - Hongkong, Macau
And I also have a few more upcoming trips (3 local and 2 International) later this year — hopefully.. So no. 1 is definitely doing good but this will still be definitely be in my prayer/wish list next year. There are still a lot of places that I would really love to visit. (more on this on a different post)
For no. 2, I’m still not CEO/President of a company.. But I’m investing in something profitable. It’s not a monthly gig but at least I get to Invest my money in something and earn from it. It’s not highly taxing in terms of effort and such.. So it’s actually a good deal..
What I do is I’m an Investor for local adaptation of musicals here in Manila. I shell out a bit of cash and also try to sell tickets. If the show’s sold out, I get a bigger profit. So the goal and the vision would always be a sold-out show. I’ve never been a fan of these things but after I started investing in such, it’s actually a really nice experience.. Something different.
Currently we’re selling tickets for AIDA. It’s a broadway musical with music and lyrics by Elton John and Tim Rice. We’re selling tickets for the July 9, 2011 show. 2 PM and 8 PM at RCBC theatre. hahaha! Plugging. Get the tickets here!
No. 3 is the most difficult of the three. haha! We all know how much these things cost.. Currently, I think I can only invest in one thing and one thing only… Either a car or a condominium.. With my parents help of course. I don’t think I can currently pay for any of those things without anyone’s help. With my travels, rent, lifestyle.. and other non-important wants that I can’t seem to avoid.. This would really need a lot of work… A LOT OF WORK. haha.. Anyways, let’s just see how things roll-out.
From this point of view, I’m actually having a good year.. A great year in fact. Work’s ok. Kinda boring at the moment.. Hopefully it will pick up soon.. and I just realized how much I could’ve blogged from this year’s experiences.. Too bad though. Oh well. I guess I’ll just have to be more diligent next time.
