I just finished watching the movie Sweeney Todd (starring Johnny Depp). All I can say it that it defines the word morbid. Well, aside from its morbidity, it’s also a sad and at the same time funny story which involves Sweeney Todd wanting revenge for his wife and daughter.
Sweeney Todd won multiple awards including Best Director from the National Board of Review, Best Picture and Best Actor from the Golden Globe Awards.
While we we’re watching the movie, I can’t help but shout “eew” , “Oh-my-God”, “ what the BLEEP oh BLEEP!”, and “is it over?”. I was quite stressed while watching the movie, but it was really fun.
When watching this movie, you should watch it with a group. It’s more fun that way. It’s nice to note each and everyone’s reaction. Don’t eat a lot before watching this movie, and the most important thing is that never to eat a meat-pie while watching this movie.
Well, my verdict to this movie is only this –> Watch it! Watch it! Watch it!
Nokia Morph is the ultimate phone of the future. I actually see it as one of those super high-tech alien-like technologies (the one which only exists in movies) but this concept is slowly realized, and someday it will be available in the market.
Morph demonstrates some of the capabilities of nanotechnology. It can sense it environment, harvest its own energy, clean itself and a lot more. Morph can adjust it’s shape according to the user’s needs, it can open to be like a laptop and it’s buttons are embossed depending on the function of the phone.
As I see it, if phones can be built this way, it wouldn’t be long before cars from the Jetson’s would become real. Cars that transform into briefcases when unused would now be seen in reality. That would be cool! Parking spaces could be utilized for much more useful things.
It’s amazing how technology develops so quickly. Nanotechnology has a lot of other uses, but I guess that’s another story.
I’ve just finished reading this book Twisted by Jessica Zafra. She’s a really good writer. She has strong opinions and she stands up for what she believes in. She’s also funny but very mean at the same time. Which of course, made me like her more.
After reading the book, i was really craving for a good book to read. But there was none to be found. Sad right? It’s like my craving for knowledge when i was still a little kid. I can remember that whenever my mom would buy me a volume of books, i would actuallly read half of all the books the day it arrives. I can still remember that my favorite volume back then was "I Wonder Why" it was cool because it answered almost every question and a lot of other questions that i haven’t thought of.
Now, I’m wondering how come it is only now that i got the urge to read again?
I’m recently having these wants to be good at solving the rubix cube. My orgmate solves a 3×3 in under 20 seconds. She’s really good at it. She can also solve lots of other types of rubix, like the 4×4, megaminx, and i don’t know if there are other sizes or types of rubix, but i guess she can also solve it.
I wanted her to teach me how to solve the cube, but sadly, she transferred to another school. But she did give me a 3×3 rubix. Until now, i can only solve one face of the cube. Quite pathetic right? hahaha. i know that there are a lot of tutorials and what-not on the internet, but i guess i don’t want to read or learn from a video. I guess I want someone to teach me, a real, live, talking, solid, in-front-of-my-face person. Hope i can solve the rubix cube, even if it will take me days. hehe
I thought that my OJT life will be, uhm, glamorous. I had fantasies that during break time, i would go to starbucks and have coffee with my friends. But now, i don’t think that it will be actually what I thought it would be.
Before, i only went to makati to go to greenbelt and glorietta. I really did not mind the traffic or any of it’s other characteristics. So whenever the company address says makati i sent my resume with much excitement and vigor.
Reasons why my OJT life won’t be glamorous:
1.) Makati’s too traffic, me and my friends will be too lazy to meet during breaks.
2.) I don’t know any starbucks walking distance from our office
3.) It’s too hot to walk outside, especially now, it’s summer
4.) I think my breaks won’t be long enough to actually enjoy it
5.) It’s too smoky and noisy outside
Now, retrospecting, i would like to have my internship at ortigas. I think it’s much less chaotic there. There are also 4 malls near it, namely, Podium, Mega Mall, Shang, and Robinson’s Galleria.
I think i don’t like makati anymore.
The new concept phones are amazing! Some phone companies now use nanotechnology in developing their phones. These upcoming phones fuse style and function in a whole new light.
Chanel "Concept by Fred de Garilhe" Choco Phone
This phone is first on the list, only because it’s gorgeous! The designer wanted this phone to look like a chocolate piece when closed. Its color pallette will be white, black, silver, and yellow gold. When it’s closed, it totally doesn’t look like a phone, but when you flip it open, voila! it’s a phone! The phone works by integrating an optical fiber system which displays the image between two glass parts. All lights appear when you open the phone.
Nokia 888 Communicator
This phone is like the bracelet that we used to have when we were kids. It’s as thin and as flexible as that.
The nokia 888 communicator won Nokia’s Benelux design contest. This phone will use a liquid battery. It will have a flexible touch screen and a touch sensitive body cover. It will move according to it’s use. You can see more of this phone here (CLICK!!!).
Nokia AEON
The cool thing about this phone is it’s style. It’s very sleek and sophisticated. The whole phone is like one big LCD. The phone will be divided into two touch sensitive areas. The keypads can transform from unicode to a controller for the media player. It is also rumored that this phone will also be able to track your health.
